Hello there!
It has been such a long time since I have been able to update my blog! I have constantly been busy, and God is keeping me going as well as helping me keep up with Him. As a DTS we finished Nations to Nations week which was an incredible time of learning about God's heart for the Nations. Each day a different culture led us into worship and the speakers shared about the people and places that are coming together to celebrate the Lord and worship Him in their own language and style.
This past week a small group from the DTS and I started our two weeks of Dutch outreach. The school was divided into three groups, and my group had the opportunity to go to Ede ( which a small town in the east of Holland). I had never heard of this town before the team was divided, but I was stoked to get the chance to minister to this "normal" place of Holland, and share the love of Christ in a practical way.. Through service projects, and otherwise..
We have been working with a young adults group from a Church called the Schuilplaats ( which is the dutch word for 'the Hiding Place'). God is showing this church, as well as myself so many things! The entire first week of teaching was about the Holy Spirit. I had the opportunity to speak on the Holy Spirit and righteousness on the first day, and every day since, the Holy Spirit has shown up in our meetings. I can honestly say that I have never seen the Holy Spirit poured out in such a mighty way in such a small amount of time. I believe it is the beginning of the Spirit working in ways that we haven't seen yet.
In Acts, Jesus talks about pouring the Spirit out on all flesh..
"In the last days it will be, God declares, that I will pour out my Spirit on all flesh, and your sons and your daughters shall prophecy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men will dream dreams." -Acts 2: 17
I believe the Holy Spirit wants to be poured out into our lives wherever we go. When we let him work in our lives, then we are empowered to do all that God has for us to do. He desires that we do the impossible, and it is by the power of the Holy Spirit that we can do those things!
I am so excited to share this with you all. I hope it makes some sense, because sometimes my fingers type faster than my brain thinks. If you get anything from reading this, may it be that the Holy Spirit wants to be so personal in your life. I'm only beginning to learn this, and I am encouraged by the work that has started in my own thinking. If your desire is similar, I encourage you to read about the promise of the Holy Spirit in John 14-15. It is so good! haha!
Blessings!
